Jenn Tran is giving roses to her medical patients these days.
Bachelor Nation alum Jenn Tran paused her master’s degree in physician assistant studies to join reality TV. Now, she has returned to her medical training in Florida.
“I resumed my P.A. studies a few weeks ago,” Jenn said in a People interview on April 1. Since then, I moved to Miami, settled in, and treated my first patients at the hospital. I feel very excited.”
The 27-year-old, who was on Dancing With the Stars last fall, said returning to Florida feels “truly incredible.” At first, she worried that fame might affect her work. But she soon saw those fears were wrong. She felt relief and gratitude.
Jenn also said balancing her medical career with public attention has been easier than she thought. Overall, she feels excited and motivated about this new chapter in Miami.
“I was actually really nervous about that,” she continued. “I was like, ‘Oh, what is that gonna be like and how is that gonna affect the provider-patient relationship.’ But the hospitals that I’ve been working at, a lot of them haven’t seen The Bachelor or Bachelorette or Dancing With the Stars.”
She added of her patients, “It’s a safe space.”
And while Jenn has been romantically linked with her DWTS partner Sasha Farber since appearing on the dancing competition series, she is adamant about finishing her degree before doing any more reality TV.
“No more hiatuses from P.A. school,” she explained. “I promised my mom. But after P.A. school, we’ll see.”
Though her reality TV stardom may be “taking a back seat,” Jenn has always been committed to her lifelong goal to work in the medical field.
“It’s something that I’m so passionate about,” she told People in December. “I’ve been wanting to study medicine my whole life, and it’s just something that feels like I would regret if I didn’t finish.”
As for how Jenn’s studies may affect her relationship with Sasha? She isn’t putting any pressure on that question.
“We are taking life one day at a time and we’re not in any rush to define anything or put anything out there,” she told the outlet in February. “We are just having fun and enjoying the moment that we’re in.”
